The life of the body
Starting 30th of September 2023
During these weeks we will delve into the multi-faceted and intricate life of the body: the ecological body, the cyclical body, and evolutionary body amongst other bodies.
We will be mapping the nuanced experiences and felt meaning that arises from our personal and interconnected embodied life as we cultivate intimacy, dialogue and relationship through somatic movement, phenomenological inquiry and multimodal art explorations.
Practices will be indoors and outdoors, and will continue as an individual project in between sessions. Because of the depth and intimate nature of the work group size is kept to 10.
Note: Participants are encouraged to commit to all sessions as one builds from another, and sessions will not be recorded.
Past students of The eco-somatics series and seasons workshops can benefit from the new material of this course to enhance their embodiment/movement practice
This series is the first of its sequel - “ Embodied Landscapes” to be run in the following spring/summer.
